I was tagged by Sweet P at Coffee Time Quilt Studio quite a while ago (an embarrassingly long while ago) to tell 7 things about myself. So I am finally going to get to it.
Here are the rules:
1. When tagged, place the name of the person and URL on your blog
2. Post the rules on your blog
3. Write 7 things about yourself
4. Name 7 of your favorite weblogs
5. Send an e-mail letting those bloggers know they have been tagged
1. I have been married for over 7 years and have two children a 3 1/2 year old boy and a 17 month old girl.
2. Motherhood is the hardest thing that I have ever done.
3. I have been sewing since I was in elementary school, my Aunt Martha lived down the street and I would often go to her for help on projects that I was making.
4. I have lived in Phoenix my whole life, so many people come here from other places that being a native is pretty rare.
5. I am a RN and I work as a lactation consultant in a local newborn ICU.
6. I have always wanted a garden and have tried to grow one one other time and failed, I hope this attempt goes better.
7. When I was a kid my favorite show was Punky Brewster.
Okay now I have to tag some people.
Suzy at Suzy Sparkle Spot
Heather at AMPM Mom
Lisa at Gecko Girl 100
And anyone else who wants to be tagged. Please leave me a note to let me know if you do it so I can read yours.

The thrift store sheet take 2
Ok. I showed you the apron that I made out of the sheet from the thrift store, well I have made a second item from it. I have a clothesline in the backyard that I use on occasion and a clothespin bag that I leave hanging from it. The bag from had ripped and since the hardware was still good i decided to just replace the bag. I think that this is much more cheerful than the plain tan one that I replaced.
Abbie
It is becoming more and more obvious ever day that my baby girl is no longer a baby anymore but a toddler. She is very independent, not wanting to be in the stroller or carried anymore she always wants to walk. Every time I get the vacuum out she has to have her toy one too. Today she got into one of my drawers and got lipstick all over her face (not sure how she knew to put it on her face since I don't often wear it). It is especially obvious how much she has grown when I put her in the little dress that I made last summer, now it is more of a top than a dress.
Our Little Garden, part 3
I can't begin to tell you how much enjoyment I am getting from my little garden. I know that it is small and the plants are just seedlings but I find it very calming to just sit there and watch the plants. The pea plants are getting big enough that today I put up the trellis. I plan to trellis the peas, tomatoes, zucchini and the watermelon. All but the watermelon have sprouted. Also in my little garden are carrots, spinach, green beans, a few flowers, basil and cilantro. The fruit trees in out backyard are looking great also.

Spring Sassy Apron Swap Recieved
This morning I went out to get yesterdays mail and I had a nice little package. It was the apron from my swap partner. Thanks molliegreene!
CVS Deals
My husband has mentioned having me teach a friend of his how I get great deals at CVS. I have to admit that mostly it is by the blogs that I read that I am able to get these great deals. (BTW I went shopping today and spent about $7 and was able to get buttons and rick rack for Abbie's dress, cleaning products from Ace (I have submitted for $5.50 in rebates from them), and over $60 of products at CVS. I actually didn't have any out of pocket expense at CVS because I had a coupon for free $25 gift card with a new prescription and I recently had a prescription filled (btw I still have over $4 on the card plus $13 in Extra Care Bucks).
The first place that I look for deals is iMommies she lists great deals at a variety of stores. Next I check out Be Thrifty Like Us for CVS deals, then Money Saving Mom. Money Saving Mom also has a great tutorial about getting started with CVS shopping. The slickdeals.net drugstore forums are another great place to look for deals. Lastly I check out Thrifty Florida Mama for CVS and other deals.
I have mostly been doing CVS for deals but it looks like you can get similar good deals at Walgreens and Rite Aid if you don't have CVS. You will also need to have coupons printed off the internet and from the paper. I have a Sunday only subscription to the paper for only $1 a week, I am actually thinking of subscribing for a second paper for the extra coupons because it more than pays for itself. Here is a good link that lists where to get internet printable coupons. Lastly I am not brand specific, if there is a coupon I ask myself "if this item was free or nearly free would I buy it?" If the answer is yes or maybe I keep the coupon. When the item is super cheap buy as many as you can with the deal and coupons and stockpile for when prices aren't so good.
