Quilt Camp

I went to quilt camp this weekend and had a blast! The weather in Prescott was great and the company was even better. I got to meet a bloggy friend Angela of The Modern Diary. I broght up several quilts in progress and was happy at the progress I made. I finished the black white and red top from a block of the month that I did when I was pregnant with Abbie. The pink and brown top is Bonnie Huner's Carolina Crossroads that I started when it was a mystery on her site. The last top is for Abbie out of 30's repros from my stash.

I have finally finished part 4 and 5 of Carolina Crossroads. Now I have finished all of the small blocks and the next step is to combine the components into larger blocks.

Carolina Crossroads Part 3

Well after a too long break I have finished step 3 of the Carolina Crossroads mystery. I haven't been too motivated to do any sewing lately but then Bonnie posted the first step for her new mystery quilt so I decided that it was high time that I finish the first quilt. I have just one more step of making components then I get to start putting the larger blocks together. I am really pleased with how things are looking and can't wait to put the whole thing together.

Carolina Crossroads Part 2

I have finally finished part 2 of the Carolina Crossroads mystery! There are a lot of small squares in 100 3" finished 9 patches. I am really liking the colors in this quilt. Someone suggested that it looked like Neapolitan ice cream and I think that fits so I am going to have to use that in the title somehow.

Carolina Crossroads Part One

Thank you all for the comments. I have decided to go with the mottled cream for the background. I have now completed the first step. I am really liking how these colors are looking together. On the right hand side of the photo is a stack of little 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" three patches from ends of strips that weren't big enough for a rail fence. I haven't decided if I am going to pick them apart to use in the nine patch blocks or just use them for another project.

Help me decide

I have decided to do the Carolina Crossroads Mystery. It took me a bit of time to decide what colors to use. I finally decided on pink and brown since I have been really into that color combination lately. I can't decide on a white on white or a mottled cream for the background fabric. Leave me a comment and let me know which one you like.
