Pay it Forward Challenge
I have joined the pay it forward challenge that can be found on the Chookblue blog. How it works is that I need three people to sign up to recieve a handmade gift from me. In return you agree to post this on your blog and give a handmade gift to three other people. I have 365 days to get the gift to you. I've never done one of these internet swaps before and am excited to see how this works out.

Pay it Forward
I have three people signed up for the pay it forward challenge. They are Fiona, Suzy, and Heather. I think that this will be great fun. I'll post pictures of the gifts as I get them done. Also, there has been a lot going on here in the last week and I plan on posting an update in the next couple of days.

We bought a trailer
A little over a year ago we sold our old trailer because it was going to be way too small to use with two kids. The plan has always been to purchase another trailer with a little more space. We have been looking for several weeks now and couldn't find one that fit our needs (under 4000#, with bunk beds) and budget. Today we decided to go out looking and the first place that we stopped had exactly what we needed for exactly what we were wanting to pay for it. We weren't actually looking for a new one, but for the price we couldn't have bought a used one for that much. I look forward to a lot of fun camping trips. I just looked for a picture of our old trailer and couldn't find one, I'll be sure to take some of the new one.

Deciding on a new project
Tonight I finished a black and batik top that I was making as a Christmas present (I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow). I have decided to have it longarmed so other than picking up some backing fabric, it is completed for now. I have spent at least the last hour trying to decide what to work on next. I have a bunch of UFO's that need to be completed, but I am feeling compelled to work on something new. There are two projects that I am contemplating, Bonnie's mystery quilt and Crazy Mom Quilt's quilt-a-long. I think that I just came to the realization that since these both are quilts in installments there is no reason that I can't work on both at the same time. I also have in my mind a scrapbook/memory quilt for our travels using 3", 6", 9" and 12" blocks. I need to go to the copy store and reduce some patterns before I can start on that. I also need to work on the pay it forward challenge gifts that I committed to in July.
Tonight for dinner we had Lasagna Soup, a recipe from Cuisine at Home. I love to make soups for dinner in the winter and this is one of my favorite soup recipes. Bulk Italian sausage has even become a staple in my freezer so that I can make this soup whenever I get a craving.

I got a package from Australia today
Last summer I signed up for a pay it forward swap. The idea was that I would get a handmade gift from the person I signed up with and in return I would give three people a gift made by me. I got a great bag and some pretty picture postcards. Thanks Chookyblue!
