The Dogma acording to Alex

The kids and I have been attending Sun Valley Community church for the last several months. The other day while the kids and I were at the park Alex sat down with me and told me that he wanted to tell me a story. His story: Jesus died and was eaten by a dragon. I could only giggle and say ok Alex.

Your title for this post has a double meaning. I've heard of Dogma, but didn't know *exactly* what it meant, so, I zipped over to Merriam-Webster Online (www.m-w.com) and found this...

Main Entry: dog·ma
Pronunciation: \ˈdȯg-mə, ˈdäg-\
Function: noun
Etymology: Latin dogmat-, dogma, from Greek, from dokein to seem — more at decent
Date: 1638

1 a: something held as an established opinion; especially : a definite authoritative tenet b: a code of such tenets (pedagogical dogma) c: a point of view or tenet put forth as authoritative without adequate grounds

2: a doctrine or body of doctrines concerning faith or morals formally stated and authoritatively proclaimed by a church

So. As you see, from your title and your story, I think you probably were using "Dogma" as in #2, but #1 (a & c) also applies! :D
