Sassy Apron Swap, summer edition

I signed up for the Sassy Apron Swap a while back and now the apron is due in less than two weeks. I thought that I would make the Emmeline apron for my swap partner, but it takes nearly 4 yards of fabric and I didn't have that much in my stash. I found a Simplicity pattern (actually H did) at Jo-Ann that I thought was cute and since the theme is summer I had some cute sandals and flip flop fabric that I am using. This swap calls for an embellishment so I found a pair of cute flip flop buttons that I will use. My partner is in Italy this time which should be neat, but unfortunately blog is in Italian and I couldn't really get a feel for what she likes.

So here's my question to you... what small items should I include with this package to Italy that are very American and would be nice for someone in another county to get? They need to be small so it doesn't cost me a fortune to ship.

Besides the required dishtowels? I'm at a loss for mine too. Actually, I just remembered, I got up early, 3 1/2 hours ago, intending to finish my apron and have yet to touch it!

I'm just going to go see what I can find in my small town to send to Australia... for Italy, hmm... I REALLY don't know! I'll check back though and see if anyone has some great ideas!

Maybe we could send them a few of our own "favorite" things... I'm thinking things like Jolly Rancher's or a certain type of Tea Bags?

I would raid the dollar section at Target for cheap little things, maybe 4th of July themed. Also, even if yo can't read Italian, can you tell if she has kids?

I just returned from Dollar Tree with: sheet of "Summer" themed scrapbooking stickers, Pink Lemonade Lip Balm (citrus on apron), sticky-notes in the shape of her first initial, and a bag of Jolly Ranchers. I also saw the same teaspoons that arrived with my apron. Should make some nice little goodies to go along with my package. I also am including two dish clothes (that I decorated)... they came with and match the KitchenAid hand towels I bought and decorated. This, along with the summer drink recipe, will have to be "good".

:D

Hi--

Just wondering.... did you receive an apron from me yet? I know it is supposed to be a surprise, but I'm worried that something happened to it in the mail. =) Hope you like it!
