Abbie is 8 months old already! I can hardly believe it. As I was putting the kids to bed tonight I got to thinking about their favorite lovies and how I will probably not remember them in 10 or 20 years so I decided to write about them now while I remember. Alex's favorite lovie is a grey and white striped cat from Kohls. It was given to him by his nana Jan who spoils all of her grandchildren mercilessly. If I had known how attached he would become to it I would have bought another one when she gave it to us. I think he got it when he was around 5 months old. he pretty much sleeps with it every night and either calls it kitty or Pippo (from the Pippo books by Helen Oxenbury). When you ask him what sounds a cat makes he will very happily say meow, meow.
Abbie's favorite toy is a small pink bunny that was given to her by my friend Heather. The bunny came in a really cute blankie that is velvety on one side and furry on the other side with a pocket on the front that the bunny goes in. The bunny has a rattle and I will often wake up to hear Abbie shaking her bunny.
