A finish

I finished my leader/ender baby quilt tonight. I think that this will make a nice utility baby quilt and I hope that it gets used and abused for many years to come. I made this for my cousin in New Hampshire that is pregnant with her first child. Her shower is on the 31st so I need to put it in the mail soon so that it will get to her in time. I am just waiting for a few of my favorite baby things that I ordered over the internet to include in the gift.

I do have something crafty to share

Back on June 2nd a friend and I got together to make ourselves aprons. When we finished my friend had enough seersucker fabric left over for me to make a darling outfit for Abbie. This outfit is actually reversible and the other side is the same green print as her bloomers and I have cut out another pair of bloomers in the citrus print. I love this outfit and Abbie is darling in it, I will be keeping this outfit to hand down to the grandkids. for now little girl will be wearing it for as long as I can squeeze her into it (luckily I can loosen the ties under her arms).

My morning

Last night when Joe was carrying Alex out of the bathroom he threw his head to the side and whacked his ear on the corner of the door. After comforting him he went donw to bed without a problem so I didn't worry too much about it until 5 am this morning when he woke up throwing up. After a couple of hours and several more throw ups I got concerned that he might have a concussion so I took him to the urgent care to be checked out. When they heard his symptoms they sent me straight to the ER. Luckily the ER was not busy and they got him right in. Long story short he had a cat scan and it was normal so they sent us home. While we were there he started to play a bit and act like he was feeling better so when we got in the car I gave him some water to drink. Not 5 minutes later that water came right back up. So I took him home and put him down for a nap. He still is not back to his normal active self and has hardly ate or drank anything today. I think that he had managed to catch a stomach virus. Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow.

Another baby product I love

Since I haven't been quilting any lately since I have been re-reading the Harry Potter books I decided to post another one of my favorite baby products. The last time I took my son to the dentist they gave me the coolest baby toothbrush. It is the longer one in this package. It is designed so that mom and baby can brush together, but frankly my daughter loves to chew on it so much that I don't feel that I have to brush after her. One end is a soft toothbrush with a rubbery head and the other end is rubbery with ridges perfect for chewing on. I have a couple of cousins that are having babies and I think that I am going to include this in their gifts.
