Milk Drunk

I have decided that breastfeeding is God's reward for putting up with pregnancy and delivery. There is nothing better than the satisfied look on a babies face when they have filled their belly and fallen asleep. I love to see milk dribble out the side of her mouth and know that I have done this for her. There is nothing better in the world than watching your child grow and knowing that you have been able to provide the best nutrition for you child that not only makes them healthier today but will make them healthier for their entire life.

Pumpkin recipes

Someone posted a link to this blog with some yummy looking pumpkin recipes: MorningRamble they are from Thursday September 21st. I think I will make some of these recipes when I have the time.

I sewed!

I actually managed to sew last night! I sewed 1 1/2 of the inner border strips on the oklahoma backroads quilt that I am making for silly boy. It was nice to get some sewing in. Little girl was very accomodating in that she slept on a blanket in the corner for at least a half an hour while I sewed. Maybe I'll get some more sewing done tonight.

My life

Things have been going well here. Little girl is a much better sleeper than her brother was. I think that one of the reasons for this is that I have been waking her up every 2 hours during the day to nurse. Even the first night home from the hospital she slept 5 hours in a row (after what seemed like a 6 hour long nursing session). The only problem that we had been having was that she wouldn't sleep anywhere but right next to me. I seem to have figured out how to get her to sleep in her cradle and last night was much more comfortable and restful for me.

Big brother has been doing as well as can be expected. Although we are currently having a little battle of wills since he won't stop pestering her and she is sleeping.
